2015 Season Announcement

Oh bliss! Oh rapture! (Oh rapture! Oh bliss!)

This year marks the Village Light Opera Group’s 80th season (we don’t look a day older than 70, right?). To celebrate, we’re proud to present FOUR opportunities to strut your stuff on stage (and off) with your fellow VLOGers!

We kick off 0n September 27th with our annual Guild Concert and reception, featuring a reprise of The Pirates of Penzance (Staten Island version). Support us with a $50 donation to the VLOGuild (using the Paypal “Donate” button on the sidebar) and we will send you a pair of free tickets to this VLOGuild celebration event!

On November 20th through 22nd we’re putting on a fantastically semi-staged presentation of Stephen Sondheim’s Company.

What about February, you ask? Well, on February 26th and 27th we’ll blow you away with Leonard Bernstein’s Candide in concert. (Large ensemble needed!)

Then get ready for May, folks, because that’s when we set sail on the SS American for Anything Goes. We’ll be decked out with costumes and a set for this delightful, delicious, and de-lovely Cole Porter classic.

Stay tuned for details about auditions, show dates, and venues. We’ll also be calling for production team members–as always, we need everybody’s time and talent to make the magic.
